The following email contains important information about an upcoming system down time and a reminder of our free training opportunities.
Upcoming System Downtime
Beginning at 6 p.m. PDT on Friday, July 16, 2010, (World Clock Time Conversion), Serials Solutions will be upgrading our network systems to increase capacity, performance, redundancy and scalability. As such, please note the impact this will have on your Serials Solutions services:
- Serials Solutions Client Center, 360 Resource Manager, and 360 Counter: We anticipate that these services will be periodically unavailable between 6 p.m. PDT (0100 UTC Saturday) and 8 p.m. PDT (0300 UTC).
- 360 Core E-Journal Portal, 360 Search, 360 Link: Users may be unable to access these services for a brief period of time between 6 p.m. PDT Friday and 12 a.m. PDT Saturday (0100 to 0700 UTC Saturday).
- Summon: Users may unable to link to full text for a brief period of time between 6 p.m. PDT Friday and 12 a.m. PDT Saturday (0100 to 0700 UTC Saturday).
- Ulrichsweb and Ulrich’s Serials Analysis Service: We anticipate that these services will be unavailable starting at 6 p.m. PDT (0100 UTC Saturday) and ending at approximately 12 a.m. PDT Saturday (0700 UTC).
Status updates regarding system downtimes can be accessed through the Support Center.

To: Campuses with Aleph regions housed on SENECA
Service Pack 2222 upgrades will be applied to the Aleph PROD regions on SENECA on July 13 and July 14. The schedule is available at http://tinyurl.com/32fd43q
Anticipated downtime for PROD regions:
a. PROD region will be brought down early in the morning on the date indicated on the campus schedule.
b. Plan on the PROD region being down that morning.
c. The OLIS and ITEC will strive to complete campuses as early as possible each day.
An announcement will be made on SUNYLMS once the PROD regions are available to the campuses. If you have questions about the service pack upgrade please submit a Footprints issue and select the “Aleph Service Pack Updates” service task.
A new Custom Service is available that produces a statistical report of circulation activity per hour. The service is patterned after cir-31. This report was originally requested by a campus via Footprints. Others may also find it useful.
