SENECA – March 12 Downtime and Maintenance

TO:  Campuses with Aleph regions housed on the SENECA server

ITEC will be migrating Seneca to a new disk storage system.  The work will start at 12:00am on Wednesday, March 12, 2008.  This means Aleph will be shut down as of midnight.  The process is expected to take 8 – 9 hours.  The Aleph regions on Seneca are expected to be back up between 8:00am and 9:00am on Wednesday morning.

Please note:  activities (overdues, call slips, etc.) scheduled in the job_list during this timeframe will not run while Aleph is shutdown. Campuses can wait until the following day for the jobs to run or submit a Footprints request.

This work concludes the move of the Aleph shared servers to a new disk storage system.
