“OCLC will honor EZproxy’s current service arrangement for existing and new
customers whereby licensees continue to enjoy access to new releases of
EZproxy and technical support at no additional charge.”

Back in 1999 a SUNY-wide license was established for EZproxy.

EZproxy owes its success to a strong user community. When the State University of New York (SUNY) system adopted EZproxy in 1999, it created an EZproxy email list to facilitate discussion among its members. Although originally designed as an internal list, SUNY kindly extended access to the world, and since then membership has grown to 1000 users.

“SUNY-Potsdam hosts the Unofficial EZproxy Self-Support Wiki. In this space, users can share database configurations, interesting or unusual authentication strategies, helpful tips, documentation, and more.”
